Michael advises clients on financial planning, tax strategy, and the behavioral side of money — how people actually think about and relate to their finances, not just the numbers. His background in education and financial counseling gives him a particular feel for working with clients who are sorting through complex decisions for the first time.

Before entering financial services, Michael taught woodworking and furniture design at several colleges and art centers across the country, and most recently taught architectural and engineering design to high school students in Cy-Fair ISD. He has also worked as a college financial counselor for students and their parents.

Michael serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of Houston and volunteers with several organizations that offer financial coaching and literacy education. He and his spouse enjoy state and national park camping trips.
