Jeff was born in Kankakee, Illinois in 1965 and grew up in a retirement community in the Ozarks. He received a B.S.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Tulsa in 1988.  In 2001, Jeff earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

Since 1987, Jeff has worked in the financial services and investments industry, including ten years with Schwab Advisor Services.  He was a successful Business Development Officer for Schwab in Houston, helping investment advisors start their own RIAs.  While at Schwab, Jeff received recognition in both the Service and Business Development areas, including: Excellence in Service and President’s/Chairman’s Club awards.

He joined Tanglewood in September 2012 as a Wealth Advisor. He helps clients with a wide range of planning areas, including retirement cash flow planning, estate planning and trusts. His other duties include assisting our Chief Compliance Officer.

Jeff and his wife, Terri, have been married over 34 years and are the proud parents of three sons-two Eagle Scouts and a Captain in the US Air Force.

Jeff earned a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Studies in 2014 from the University of St. Thomas.  In January 2015, he was ordained a Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, a lifetime commitment.

When not serving Tanglewood clients, Jeff is a clergy member at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church and at a Second Parish.  He also volunteers at various community organizations, including serving as a House Chaplain and Advisory Board member for Magnificat Houses, Inc.
